Revision of prices of Finished goods in response to changing market conditions to ensure smooth continuous  sales.

The proposal for revision of prices is put up by Managers in Corporate Marketing and Unit level marketing. The committee evaluates the proposal and approves the price revision.

Tender Commitee for works (Below Rs 5 lakhs):
One member each from Finance Dep,. user dept, Executing Dept. not below the rank of Dy. Manager (Dy.M).If user dept. and executing dept. become one and the   same or user departments are more than one, technical services dept. or additional  member from executing department shall form part of the Tender Committee. In case no technical service representative is available two members from executing dept. forms part of the Tender Committee

For Revenue and Capital works of value `1 Lakhs and  above but below `5 Lakhs

The scope of the tender committees constituted as per Works policy shall include recommendation for technical approval, recommending to float enquiry based on approved vendor list, Preparation of vendor list (wherever it is not available), recommending mode of tendering, opening of tenders, evaluation of technical and commercial bids, recommendation for negotiation (if required) and recommending for approval to issue work orders/entering into contract. The Tender Committee for different projects / revamp / refurbishment / minor schemes shall be constituted by CMD based on the recommendations by the respective functional Directors. No tender committee is required for works having estimated cost up to Rs 1 Lakh. In all Tender Committees minimum 3 members shall be available

Tender committee for works (Between Rs 5 lakhs and Rs 10 lakhs):
Same as above except that the tender Committee members shall not be below the rank of Manager / Chief Managers.  In case the post of M(Finance)/CFM positions are vacant in Finance Dept. DM(F) shall be part of Tender Committee.

For Revenue and Capital works of value `5 Lakhs and  above but below `10 Lakhs

Tender committee for works (Between Rs 10 lakhs and Rs 25 lakhs):
Same as the above except that the Tender Committee members are HODs..

For Revenue and Capital works of value `10 Lakhs and  above but below `25 Lakhs

The respective HODs from the executing dept., the user depts.. , Finance, Technical Services (if available), GM (Engg) (if available) and Unit-in-Charge.

Headed by Chief Manager/DGM and above & shall have the Members nominated by the functional directors (DF & DT) and approved by CMD.

Constituted under Factories Act 1948.  It helps the Management to maintain proper safety and health at work place.  Also advise the Management on various actions to be taken for the implementation of safety provisions in Factories Act 1948 and Kerala Factories Rules 1957.

Constituted under ID Act 1947.
To promote measures for securing and preserving amity and good relations between the Employer and the Workmen thereby act as a preventive measure to Industrial Disputes.

Canteen Managing Committee:

Constituted under Factories Act 1948. To ensure quality and quantity of food stuffs to be served in the canteen by preparing menu and also to fix the time of meals in the canteen.

Internal Committee for Prevention of  Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal)

The Committee shall discharge its duties and responsibilities as per the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. Complaints on sexual harassment at workplace, if any, is to be directly reported to the Internal Committee within a period of three months from the date of incident. The Committee will enquire into the complaints and submit its report to the Management within a period of 10 days from the date of completion of the enquiry for further action on the matter.

The scope of the relevant purchase committee shall include the following and shall be applicable only to purchases coming under the purview of the committee.
(1) Deciding any deviations, if any in the tendering procedures to be adopted in confirmation with the applicable clauses in this policy.
(2) Deciding the vendors to whom enquiry is to be floated in case there is no approved vendor list of the item.
(3) Evaluating the technical/commercial recommendations given by user department and giving clearance.
(4) Negotiating with the vendors as per guidelines given in this policy.
(5) Deciding the need to collect EMD and the amount of EMD in case different EMD than that stipulated in this policy is to be collected.
(6) Scrutinizing and approving the tender documents, tender condition and draft newspaper advertisements wherever required.
(7) Deciding matters pertaining to newspaper advertisement such as which newspapers and number of editions in which to advertise.
(8) Deciding on reduction in bidding time in cases of urgency.
(9) Deciding the need to short close an already placed purchase order based on market conditions or plant position.
(10) Any other matters relevant to the purchase of the item.

Inventory Control Committee : Officers nominated  by CMD from Materials, Finance  and Nominated Head of ICC

The inventory control committee (ICC) duly constituted by the competent authority shall scrutinize the indents for non-stock items. The inventory control committee shall consider the existing stock level of the items, the possibility of using substitute materials available on stock, scope of reducing the quantity of purchase or avoiding the purchase. Inventory control committee is empowered to approve the indents with or without reduction in quantity or reject indents with intimation to the indenting dept.

Scrap & Surplus identification and disposal committee:
A STANDING COMMITTEE CONSISTING OF FOUR PERMANENT MEMBERS ,HOD FINANCE,HOD MATERIALS,HOD PRODUCTION, HOD OF EACH OF THE RESPECTIVE DEPARTMENT  TO WHICH THE ITEMS BELONG

The functions of the SSID Committee shall consist of :
1) Identification and Classification of items into scrap/ surplus obsolete category.
2) In case of worn out/damaged equipments and spares whenever referred to it deciding whether the items are repairable, and if so, the extent and mode of repair and estimated cost of repairs.
3) Recommending th mode of disposal i.e. sale of item or declare it as scrap.
4) Fixing reserved price of the item recommended for disposal (to be confidential till the opening of the bids).
5) To act as referee in case of disputes connected with classification of any item as scrap, surplus, repairable etc.
